Department-Centered Activities

We believe that faculty are central to any effort to support student success. Thus, the core of our strategy is a department-centered and faculty-led transformation to facilitate success for all students.

While faculty are committed to student success, they may not always have sufficient knowledge, expertise, structure, or time to implement change on their own. We thus provide extensive support to departments on their Driving Change journey. We help departments discover what they want to be and where they currently are; help them organize and collaborate to achieve their goals; and provide embedded and á la carte knowledge, expertise, and time to address their ideas. Departments are supported by Faculty Directors Linda Columbus (Professor, Chemistry) and Scott Barker (Professor, Electrical and Computer Engineering) and members of the Core Integrated Implementation Team (CIIT).

Departmental Roadmap

While no two departmental paths are the same, all departments engage in a thoughtful process of vision setting, self-discovery, and learning about their students’ experiences and outcomes.
